Getting Started with SendWish: The Ultimate Guide

Welcome to SendWish! You've taken the first step towards being the friend who always remembers.

Getting started is easy, but to truly unlock the power of automated thoughtfulness, follow this simple guide.

1. Importing Your Realm (Adding Contacts)

The heart of SendWish is your people. You can add them one by one, but for a true "set it and forget it" experience, bulk import is the way to go.

Option A: Bulk Import (Recommended)

This is the fastest way to get set up.

1. Export Contacts:
   • Google Contacts: Go to contacts.google.com -> Export -> Select "Google CSV".
   • iPhone: Use iCloud or an app to export your contacts to CSV.
2. Upload to SendWish:
   • Log in to your Dashboard.
   • Click "Import Contacts" in the sidebar.
   • Upload your CSV file. We'll automatically match names, emails, and birthdays.

Option B: Manual Add

Perfect for your inner circle.

1. Click "Add Contact" on your dashboard.
2. Enter their:
   • Name (Required)
   • Birthday (Required - so we know when to alert you!)
   • Relationship (e.g., Friend, Sibling)
   • Contact Info (Email or Phone - needed if you want us to send the message for you).

2. Scheduling Your First Wish

Reminders are great, but automation is better. Why rush to send a text at 11 PM when you can schedule it months in advance?

1. Select a Contact: Find someone with an upcoming birthday on your dashboard.
2. Click "Schedule Wish": This opens the wish creator.
3. Choose Your Method:
   • Email: We'll send a beautifully formatted email directly to them.
   • WhatsApp: (Premium) We'll automate a WhatsApp message from you.
   • SMS: (Premium) A classic text message, sent on time.
4. Craft Your Message: Write something heartfelt, or use our AI suggestion tool if you're stuck.
5. Attach a Gift (Optional): Add a link to a digital gift card or present.
6. Hit Schedule: That's it! You can sleep soundly knowing the wish will be delivered exactly when you want.

3. Mastering Reminders

Even if you prefer to send messages manually effectively, our reminders ensure you're prepared.

• Standard Alerts: We notify you 3 days before (time to buy a gift!) and on the day (time to call!).
• Customize It: Go to Settings to change when you get alerted. Maybe you need 7 days notice for your spouse, but same-day is fine for a coworker.
